Short title and comment:

It will come into force on the day when the federal government, through notification in the official gazette, may make an appointment for it.

Definitions:

Chairman” means the Chairman of the Board.

College” refers to an institution under the jurisdiction of the Board and is affiliated with Intermediate Education, and also includes a College with Intermediate and Degree Classes and is affiliated with the University for Degree Classes.

Committee” means the committee formed under this committee.

Headmaster” and “Headmaster” also include a school principal.

Institution” means a college or school.

Intermediate College” means an institution dedicated to intermediate education, and includes an institution that provides intermediate education and secondary education.

Intermediate education” means education-related to class XII and XII.

Recommended” means recommended by rules and regulations;

Principal” means the head of a college;

Affiliate” means affiliate by board;

School” means an institution within the jurisdiction of the Board and affiliated to it to provide only secondary education;

Regulations” means the rules and regulations made under this law.

Secondary education” means education-related to Class IX and Class X and other classes that the federal government may declare as secondary education classes. And

Secretary” means the Secretary of the Board.

The Jurisdiction of the Board:

The Board shall exercise the powers conferred by or under this Act in relation to the Federal Capital Territory, the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, and such States and Territories, which shall not be part of any Province, including or may not be included in Pakistan, whether through institutions established by the Pakistan Mission or under the auspices of Pakistani citizens in foreign countries and all other educational institutions that wish to gain affiliation with the Board from within the country and abroad, including such institutions are located under the jurisdiction of the Cantonment Board.

Board combination:

The consistency of the members,

The Federal Government shall appoint the Chairman of the Board.

Two Vice-Chancellors nominated by the University Grants Commission;

A representative appointing the board to the administration is not less than the post of Deputy Secretary in the Federal Government.

Nominated by the Directorate of Military Lands and Cantonments is to represent cantonment boards.

A principal will be elected from among the principals in a prescribed manner.

A headmaster of a school for boys should be selected by the headmasters of the boys’ schools in a prescribed manner.

The headmistress of a school for girls is chosen by the headmistress of the girls’ school in a prescribed manner.

Director-General, Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad;

Director, Institute of Islamic Research, Islamabad.

Three members, one of whom will be a woman, will be elected by the National Assembly from among its members.

Two members of the Senate will be elected. And

Provincial Government, Independent Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Government: Representatives of each of Gilgit-Baltistan.

 Board Member Terms:

Unless the Federal Government thinks that it is necessary to do so in the public interest, it shall remove from office the office of one member, other than the former member, for a term of three years from that date will win his choice or nomination, as the case may be.

A former member cannot remain as a member if he holds the position for which he is appointed.

In the office of a Member, any vacancy in any post other than that of a Government official shall be filled by election or nomination, as the case may be, and Will hold the post.

Any member of the Board may resign from his post by handwriting to the Chairman, provided that the resignation does not take effect till the approval of the Chairman.

A member will be eligible for re-election or re-nomination at the end of his term.

Board options and functions:

Under other provisions of the Act, the Board shall have the power to regulate Intermediate Education, Secondary Education, Development and Secondary Education, and Secondary Education.

In particular, and without prejudice to generalize the said power, the Board shall have the following powers.

No action or proceeding of the Board shall be null and void merely based on any error or omission in the Constitution of the Board.

Conducting and conducting examinations related to intermediate education and secondary education.

Write a syllabus of instructions for board examinations, provided the board can write different syllabi for different parts of the institution.

Institutions in Pakistan or outside Pakistan,

Control and regulation of examinations at the level of Intermediate Education and Secondary Education in Pakistan with the approval of the Federal Government through foreign agencies, professional bodies or institutions, or universities.

Adjust the default requirements, request, and receive such fees.

Provide inspections by such person or persons as the Board may nominate persons or entities associated with the applicants for affiliation.

Take steps to promote the physical and moral well-being of students in affiliated institutions and to monitor their accommodation, health, and discipline.

Arranging and providing lectures, demonstrations, educational exhibitions, and other such initiatives to promote the quality of intermediate and secondary education.

Institute and Award Scholarships; Medals and awards will be subject to the terms that may be proposed and approved under such conditions as the Board deems fit.

Write a study of textbooks or other books and arrange for the publication of such textbooks or other books.

Students, teachers, probation, and mysterious debauchery arrange fines.

Write the qualifications for the appointment of teachers in the institutions affiliated to the board.

Submit your views to the Federal Government on any matter in this regard or the Federal Government or any Provincial Government or any educational institution may refer it for advice.

Deposit your surplus funds in any national bank of Pakistan.

Enter into and comply with agreements in the exercise of your powers and the performance of your duties under this law and rules and regulations.

Regulate and decide on all administrative matters, including the formation and termination of positions under the Board.

Approve its annual budget.

It may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act and to approve such costs or expenses.

Take all other necessary steps to meet the objectives of this Act.

The Board may appoint any of its Chairman or any officer or committee or sub-committee of the Board through it.
