PU MA/MSc Part-I Roll Number Slips | Workshop On Protection of Women, Lahore (12 February 2021) Punjab University Examinations Department has issued roll number slips for MA / MSc Part One Annual Examinations 2020 starting from 5th March.

Regular (On Campus) candidates of Punjab University Regular candidates of their department and affiliated colleges can get roll number slips from their respective colleges. Private Orlet College Candidates can download their roll number slip from the official website of Punjab University (www.pu.edu.pk)

Workshop on protection of women in public places organized by the Department of Gender Studies, Punjab University

Lahore (Urdu Point News Latest – Online. February 12, 2021) Punjab University Department of Gender Studies organized a one-day training workshop on ‘Creating Safer Public Places for Women and Girls’ in which Punjab Safe City Authority, the introduction of the application for the protection of women, the method of use and the fact-based research audit report for the protection of women in Lahore transport were discussed.


On the occasion, Member Provincial Assembly and Chairperson Standing Committee on Gender Management and Women Development Miss Azmi Kardar, Superintendent of Police and Operations Commander Safe City Authority Asim Jasra, Areeba Butt, Hamza Butt, Chairperson Department of Gender Studies Prof. Dr. Rana Malik, Prof. Sahara Zaman and students participated.

In her speech, Azmi Kardar called for the use of an application designed to protect women.

He said that as a result of the resolution presented in the Punjab Assembly to highlight the issues of women, the best application was made which would surely prove to be beneficial for women and girls.

Asim Jasra introduced the Punjab Police Integrated Command, Control and Communication Center while Areeba Butt and Hamza Butt elaborated on the various facilities including application usage and features.


Research presented by Dr. Rana Malik has revealed that more than 90% of women in public places, especially in transport, face sexual harassment. He urged women and girls to use women’s applications to stay safe and secure in public places. At the end of the workshop, Dr.

Sahira Zaman thanked the participants. Earlier, a question and answer session was also held.
