Parts of Speech Definitions With Examples In Urdu | Basic English Grammar
There are eight parts to speech in English: nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, verbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and interactions. Part of the speech indicates how the word works in terms of meaning as well as the grammar within the sentence. An individual word can serve as more than one part of speech when used in different situations. When using a dictionary, it is important to understand the parts of speech to determine the correct definition of a word.
- 1. NOUN
A noun is the name of a person, place, thing, or idea.

A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun.

- 3. VERB
A verb expresses action or being.

An adjective modifies or describes a noun or pronoun.
