At 11 am on that day he was sitting in his room with a fellow student when he heard the sound of B-29 aircraft passing overhead. A few minutes later, the air flashed a brilliant yellow light and there was a huge blast of wind. The roof of the house was blown and all the glasses were shattered. They were terrified and ran to the toilet to hide. A piece of glass had cut his shoulder, and he was bleeding.

After a while, he came out and saw that the sky had turned from blue to black. The black rain started to fall. The walls were reduced to rubble. He tried to go to his medical school in Urakami but could not. There was fire everywhere. He saw numerous people who were severely wounded. The air was full of high radiation. Only the concrete and iron skeletons of the buildings remained.

There were dead bodies everywhere. A man had fallen into a tub, seeking cool water. Burnt bodies of animals and men were lying on the road. There were black charred bodies everywhere.

On August 9, 1945, a U. S Air Force plane released an atomic bomb on Nagasaki (Japan). About one-third of the city was destroyed, and some 66,000 people were killed and injured.

[Destruction] The writer told that the air flashed, air blasted, his house blew, glasses shattered and he got an injury. There was the black sky, black rain, rubbles of walls, high radiation, flames, dead bodies, foam-flowing bodies, burning bodies, and blood trickling bodies like witches. He met with lifeless classmates and limbless students. [Moral] The heart-rending event of this essay reminds us of the hell of Dante. It fills sickness and terror in us. It reveals the measles of mankind-pack of blood and pus.
